about

DJing and producing since 1992 D'Julz aka Julien Veniel is one of the leading French DJs. His music is a crossover of Electro House and Deep Techno with strong acid and funk influences. In 1993 he moved to New York for one year where he became the principal ambassador of the new born French House scene. Back in France D'Julz started his own night at the famous Rex Club and got his own show on FG radio. In 2002, D’julz was voted the 7th best DJ in the world by the readers of French Trax magazine.
Since the year 2000, D'julz produced and released his tracks on labels such as Dessous, Ovum, Brique Rouge, Serial, 20/20 Vision, Paper, Music for Freaks and End recordings, and we are happy to present his latest tracks on Poker Flat.
"Runny" is a great euphonious, techy and percussive track around an alienated violin sound. The remix has been contributed by Dan Berkson and James What, who released already their "Cantina" EP (pfr77) on Poker Flat. Their mix comes in the typical Berkson and What sound with warmer keyboard sounds and a groovy bassline. "Sign" on B2 is a deep, but pushing Tech-House tune with a great build-up. Super-cool EP!
