Drawing on 25 years of DJing alongside the greatest names in house music history at NYC's most legendary clubs, 14 years as the boss of his own label Maya, and a discography that's seen him contribute to virtually every go-to label you can name, Joeski returns to Poker Flat with a trio of deep and deadly club bangers, each one fine-tuned for devastating dancefloor deployment.
'XXX Part 1' works the toms and snares to magic up the vibe of a sweaty, sexy dancefloor. Underpinned by an insistent, bouncing bass and topped with seductive female whispers, it's an undeniably immersive groove.
'XXX Part 2' goes tribal, a swirling monster of a jam brimful with intricate detail and acidic stabs. It's an overwhelming experience - in the best possible sense - and a fitting climax to an accomplished EP.
'Come On' revolves around an inexorable - and utterly irresistible - bass wobble. Race cars whizz and whoosh through the stereo field as a voice intoning the title is distorted, stretched and deliciously twirked.
